Day 52

Rock Cliffs

I decided to enjoy a trail this morning.
There was no one around it was
very peaceful.
The fresh snow crunching,
packing under each step I took.
It seemed like no one had been here before,
but by the footprints in the snow
I could tell this was not true.

I composed this image amongst
may beautiful rock formations
that passed my way.

Day 51

Lonely Road

This is a picture of my father
on my street
as
we make our way to Swensons
for a couple of delicious burgers.
Not many cars on the road.
Things seem lonely...
forgotten for the moment.

Goodmorning Little One

I just took these photos of Lila
literally minutes ago.
I was inspired
by tunes from Karen O and of course
my beautiful daughter.

Day 50

The Abstract

I shot this image late last nite, but was too
tired to post it. So I am sharing it today.
I love the neutral tones spread out with a
subtle hint of a bluish hue.

I find the more I look at this photograph, the more I see.

Day 49

Onesies

I designed some onesies tonite
for Cherise's friend.
It always feels good to be
involved in a creative process.

Day 48

Outside my window

On my way home this evening
a light coating of snow covered my car.
I thought this was very interesting, so I composed this image
while waiting at a traffic light.

Day 47

Northbound on 77

So, on my daily commute I drop of
my daughter in the morning and I travel
N on 77.
For some reason I thought about this today
and realized I have never really shot this stretch of
highway before.
The ironic thing about it is that
I have known this pavement practically
my whole life. It is like a friend you just
always expect to be by your side.

Anyway, I think this composition is very interesting.

Day 46

Knowledge of Self

I understand who I am.
Where I come from and what I am meant to become.
I am me.

I think many people search their lives and still
have questions. I received a fortune from a Chinese
restaurant last week that read "Fate will find a way"
I believe this cookie speaks the truth.

Day 45

Mama Bear & Baby Bear

Thought this was a fun picture of Cherise
kissing
little baby Lila.

Saturday, February 20, 2010

Day 44

Sleepy Baby

I quickly composed this photograph while
my daughter was starting to wake up from
her mid morning nap. I think the expression on her face
reads "Daddy please, I'm trying to wake up here"

Day 43

Snow fallen shadows

Today the sun shined brightly in the sky.
Not a cloud was in sight leaving endless possibilities.
Shadows were lightly layered on top
of snow drifts.
Slowly melting away.

Day 42

Self Portrait

When I left for work this morning I did not bring my camera with
me, and I knew I would regret it later during the day.
As it turned out I was right.
It was actually sunny today.
Wait let me repeat this.
It was actually sunny today
and I was inspired, so what was I to do.

Luckily I had my BlackBerry.

This is the first time I have even attempted to
use the camera function on my phone and I am pleased to say
I like how this turned out.

Day 41

Self Portrait

Day 40

Neutral

This abstract image is very calming & comforting to me.
I shot this with a slow shutter speed this
evening.

I like the fact that you can still almost
make out and image, yet it remains a mystery.

Day 39

Tiny Fingers

Pretty self explanitory

Sunday, February 14, 2010

Day 38

The Perspective of Mr Hippo

In this series of photographs,
you are introduced to Mr. Hippo,
you see his perspective of Lila,
then you see her perspective of Mr. Hippo.

At the same time I am wondering if she even knows he has
a name.

Day 37

Passed Out

I think this picture of Lila
passed out at Babies R Us is adorable.
We were shopping around this afternoon and
she was completely asleep, so I had to snap a few photos.

Friday, February 12, 2010

Day 36

Lights in the sky

I started out this evening packed with two cameras & a tripod. I was on a
mission to shoot some type of cityscape or urban chaos. After
driving for quite some time I did not see anything that was visually interesting to me.

I started experimenting with various abstract colors and lights, and that is when this
composition happened. Surprisingly enough, I am very pleased with the outcome of
this image.

Day 35

Haunting Highway

I literally took this photo then my camera battery died.
I think it is interesting how this
image has a ghostly quality about it.

Wednesday, February 10, 2010

Day 34

Another White Out

More snow really...?

Tuesday, February 9, 2010

Day 33

Time for Peaches

Lila after eating some afternoon peaches.

Monday, February 8, 2010

Day 32

Frost Bitten Forest

This morning was cold.
Freezing cold.
Despite the temperature everything was covered in
a beautiful white frost.

My only wish...
is that I had more time to shoot photos.

Sunday, February 7, 2010

Day 31

Lila Rae

I have been painting most of the day today, so
I snapped this quick pic of Lila.
Always
a guaranteed way to
brighten up my day.

Saturday, February 6, 2010

Day 30

Distant Winter

This morning I awoke to some serious snowfall.
We had almost a foot of snow accumulate over night.
Anyway, after barely getting out of my driveway
I ended up exploring trying to get some
great nature photos.
It was a lot of fun and
I am very thankful for 4 wheel drive.

Day 29

Words

I read an article in a travel magazine today
about an amazing woman named Anne Packard who lives her life
as an artist. www.packardgallery.com/anne.html

The story truly inspired me.
The funny thing is, I actually shot this image
of words from the actual article before I decided to read it.

Thursday, February 4, 2010

Day 28

Composition of Light

Different colors dancing around the darkened sky.
Floating, drifting through dreams.

Wednesday, February 3, 2010

Day 27

Fresh Trax

I spotted these lovely tracks
resting upon freshly fallen snow
on my way home. I think the patterns are
fantastic.

Tuesday, February 2, 2010

Day 26

Self Portrait

I found it a bit difficult to get inspired today...
but I shot this anyway.
in preparation for another day.

Monday, February 1, 2010

Day 25

the Colour of Sky

This morning the sky was vivid with colours
that resembled a Monet painting.
Beautiful shades of pink and blue and violet hues
danced across the sky.
Smoke bellowed out
of stacks and across frigid roof lines disappearing
into the sun rise.
A blissful sight.
