Day 236

Sweet child o' mine

Can't believe she is almost a
year old. Only a few more
days. I took this image as she was
looking out of the window with
the cats. She stopped for a split second and looked
over at me.
That is when I snapped this picture.

Day 235

Sweet Ride

I took this picture after I just
finished yet another great ride.
I feel a trip to Peninsula
for some biking & pints is in the near future.

Day 234

The Galley Boy

Ahhh...the joy of having Swenson's for dinner.
Always a good time.

Day 233

The movement

I capture this image while moving
with my camera at a slow shutter speed.
The result in an abstraction of a familiar object.

She is growing up so fast.

Day 231

White Drink

I thought it would be a good idea to
try this drink today while on my lunch.
As it turns out, white gourd drink is not for me.
The only way I can think to describe the taste is
it was like water with an after taste like caramel corn.

Day 230

From the garden

So we got a late start on our garden,
but it has grown like crazy with
the humidity we have had lately.

Day 229

Bath Time

I took this image of Lila as she was taking a bath,
right before she splashed water on me.
Always so happy and laughing.

Ode to Jeromesville

I was tired the other night,
so I failed to show my photo journalistic
approach to the way I looked at this small town.
I had been here only once before, and I
was intrigued upon my first glance.
I stumbled across town shooting everything
that instantly became of interest to me.
I felt a sweet little piece of Americana
surrounding me in this town.

I was invited into Delagrange Antiques even
though they were closed at the time.
I browsed around the shop and found a receipt
book that was dated from the late 1800's.
They also had a lot of other great finds
highly recommended for the avid antique
collector.

Day 228

In the pen

I captured this great picture of Lila as she was
looking like she was up to something.

Day 227

Abstract Sign

I spotted this sign on the side of the road as
I was passing through town and thought
it was of interest.

Day 226

Road trip to Jeromesville

So I spent a good portion of the morning
at a freelance gig in Jeromesville.
Very small town, but the people were very nice.

Day 225

Leaves

I took this image while wondering
around my yard.
I like the sharp detail you can see in
the body of the leaf.

Day 224

My way or the Sky Way

I have been a fan of
vintage neon signs for quite some time.
I always thought this sign was interesting, so
I decided to take this picture just as the sun was setting.

Day 223

Abandoned Barn

I have passed this place on numerous occasions
but never stopped to take a photograph.
Makes me wonder what this was used for back in the
day.

Day 222

at the intersection

I sit & wait wondering
where I'm going and how far I've been.
Will I make it there on time...?
do I give a kiss goodbye?
I will just keep it in drive.

Day 221

Tiny little wonder

I took this cute picture of Lila as she was pulling herself
up on the bed. I can't believe she is
almost a year old...that's crazy.

Day 220

Sweet Treat

I found this sweet magic mushroom from Mario Bros filled
with candy today at World Market.
My daughter seemed to love it
and continued to shake it throughout the store,
so I had to buy it.

Day 219

Reflections

I shot this photograph of my father
after we went to the Artfest in Grace Park.
It was a great time accompanied by the sounds of the
Speedbumps.

Day 218

Roots

I was interested at first glance of these roots in the ground.
I wonder where they have been.

Thursday, August 12, 2010

Day 217

Abstract Motion

Another study of motion
with a slow shutter speed.

Wednesday, August 11, 2010

Day 216

Flowers in the backyard

I wanted to take a better close up,
but the lighting condition was very dark.
I decided to exploit this instead.

Tuesday, August 10, 2010

Day 215

Bike Route

I spotted this sign today while driving around
this afternoon. This route apparently goes
through a residential neighborhood.
I think I need to try it out sometime.

Monday, August 9, 2010

Day 214

Mac & Cheese

I had some of the best tasting
homemade mac & cheese tonite.
Yum.......I had to get a close up.

Sunday, August 8, 2010

Day 213

11 Months & counting

I took some photos of Lila
today and suddenly it struck me,
how fast she is growing up.
I love spending as much time
with her as possible.
She is the best thing that
has ever happened to me.

Saturday, August 7, 2010

Day 212

Colorful

I took a few close up pics while
checking out the new yarn set in Bath.
Everything looks great.
I met some great people while
I was there.

Day 211

On our way

to Twilight @ the Zoo I stopped for gas
in Old Brooklyn.
I composed this image while waiting for
my fill up.

Thursday, August 5, 2010

Day 210

Dramatic theme

I experimented with different techniques
in order to get this composition quite right.
I must say I am pleased with the result.

Wednesday, August 4, 2010

Day 209

Cracks in the pavement

I composed this image of something that
I see everyday, but have yet to explore.

Tuesday, August 3, 2010

Day 208

Abstract Leaves

I took this photo close up
of a plant that I have inside my house.
This was taken in low lighting
and has a painterly quality
about it.

Monday, August 2, 2010

Day 207

From the ground

I noticed these flowers growing
from the ground. This may even be
a weed. Not quite sure, but it caught my
eye for some reason.

Day 206

Spiritual Bliss

I was looking up at the trees
when all of the sudden the
sun peeked through the leaves.
It is such a unique experience
when this happens.
A spiritual experience.
